The Olympus DS-4000 Digital Voice Recorder in full metal body is designed specifically to meet the needs of the professional user. The DS-4000 is the most full-featured dictation unit in the Olympus voice recorder range. Its sleek, ergonomic body fits comfortably in your hand and has a big, backlit LCD display that shows essential information in large, easy-to-read type.
The Olympus DS-4000 is equipped with a high-precision slide control that offers crisp, click-stop action and outstanding durability.
A USB docking cradle ( CR3 ) is included as standard. In addition to providing easy PC connectivity for sound file downloading, it allows the Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack ( BR403 ) to be recharged without removing it from the DS-4000 recorder.
The included 32 MB xD-Picture Card lets you record for approximately 5 hours and 10 minutes in SP mode, and 11 hours in LP mode. In addition, the Olympus DS-4000 recorder can use xD-Picture Cards up to 1 Gig ( 168 hours in SP mode ).
The Olympus DS-4000 Digital Voice Recorder kit also comes with DSS Player Pro dictation software that offers significant improvements in transcription workflow efficiency. When sound files are downloaded from the DS-4000 to a PC, the software can be set to automatically send the files to a transcriptionist via an your existing office network, e-mail or FTP uplink.
